Between January 2023 and March 2024, Nestlé India saw a double-digit gain in sales of 44.5 per cent, with Kitkat and Maggi being the main drivers. According to the firm, India is the second-biggest market for Kitkat and the world's largest market for Maggi. According to their FY24 annual report, more than six billion Maggi were sold in India between January 2023 and March 2024.
Nestlé India's FY2024 report states that in 15 months, ecommerce sales accounted for 6.8 per cent of total revenues. "The ecommerce biz continued to accelerate with significant growth in quick commerce along with click & mortar, driven by brands such as Kitkat, Maggi noodles, and others," Nestlé India stated.
"Our consistent efforts to strengthen brand trust and accelerate the pace of innovation has garnered immense consumer love and made India the largest Nestlé market worldwide for Maggi," Rajat Jain, Head-Foods at Nestlé India said.
Furthermore, Nescafé continued to play a significant role in the company's export growth. According to the FMCG company, Nescafé Sunrise made its debut in Canada and kept gaining popularity in Taiwan and Singapore. Furthermore, Nescafé Intenso roasted beans ventured into new markets in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Nestlé India reported a 64.5 per cent increase in Profit after tax (PAT) from Rs 23,905 million in 2022 to Rs 39,328 million in 15 months through March 2024. With total sales of Rs 242,754.8 million, the FMCG major achieved double-digit growth during the fifteen-month financial year that concluded on March 31, 2024.
