Meenakshi Kandwal resigns from Times Now Navbharat

Journalist Meenakshi Kandwal the Senior Editor/Senior News Anchor at Times Network's Times Now Navbharat has resigned from her post, according to industry sources.

They also say that the channel management is keen to retain Kandwal who joined the network last year. Previously, she was associated with Aaj Tak as its deputy editor.

Prior to Aaj Tak she was associated with ABP as a news anchor. She has been associated with Aaj Tak since 2015 and hosted shows like Aaj Subah and Ek Aur Ek Gyarah and the show called, Viral Test on the weekends.

The journalist is notable for her coverage of Kartarpur corridor news and is among the few journalists who have reported from Pakistan. She has also covered topics such as Mahabalipuram bilateral talks, Prayagraj Kumb and demonetisation. Her coverage of demonetisation has also bagged her the prestigious ENBA award.


Zee Live’s CBO Swaroop Banerjee quits

Swaroop Banerjee, the Chief Business Officer of Zee Live, has called it quits.

Sharing the news in a Linkedin post, Banerjee writes, “With #Supermoon, #Arth, #itsagirlthing and #indiashayariproject travelling nation wide and now to the Middle East + Africa my job here is well and truly done. After convincing Punit for the last 3 months to let me go and take care of family last night he finally agreed and is somehow calling it a longer vacation.”

Banerjee joined Zee Live in July 2018. 

In the post, Banerjee has also shared memories of meeting Punit Goenka before joining the Zee Live. “July 2018 when Rajesh Kejriwal took me to meet Punit Goenka, I knew my life vision will be altered. With Punit and Rahul Johri and an incredible team backing me we built from zero to the powerhouse Zee Live is today,” he shares.

Before joining Zee Live, he has been Event Capital’s Chief Executive Officer. He has also worked with Viacom18, Star TV Network and MTV Networks Asia.


Kaumudi Mahajan joins Meta

Kaumudi Mahajan has quit Disney Star after 14.5 years with the company and has joined Meta as Head (Entertainment and Partnerships). She has announced the move through a LinkedIn post.

"I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head - Entertainment Partnerships at Meta!" she says.

Her last role at the company was that of SVP (Marketing and Strategy). She has joined in 2008 as assistant manager (programming strategy) at Star Plus and has held various roles at Star Plus and Star Pravah.
