TikTok hires Kate Jhaveri as its new Global Head of Marketing
Kate Jhaveri, former NBA CMO, has been hired by ByteDance Inc. to serve as TikTok's new Global Head of Marketing. Nick Tran, who oversaw marketing at TikTok from April 2020 until January 2022, is replaced by Jhaveri.
Jhaveri worked with the NBA for three years before moving on to become Twitch's Chief Marketing Officer. Between 2013 until 2016, she was Twitter's Head of Consumer Marketing. She was the Director of Brand and Mobile Marketing at Facebook before that. She has also collaborated with Dell, Apple, and Microsoft.
Jhaveri also sits on the board of Outbrain, a website for online recommendations.
Apparently, Jhaveri will now be in charge of TikTok's consumer and brand marketing, and she will answer to CEO Vanessa Pappas. She will also collaborate closely with Sofia Hernandez, the global head of business at TikTok.

Mihir Bhatt has been promoted by Times Network to the positions of Business Head, Times Influence, and Managing Editor.
With the ultimate P&L responsibility of Times Influence, a Strategic Content Thinktank that operates across the Network and creates IPs and Content Solutions that have won awards, Bhatt will continue to spearhead the editorial charge for large-scale strategic collaboration content on the network.

Inshorts appoints Nikhil Taneja as Head of Corp Development & Investor Relations
Inshorts has appointed Nikhil Taneja as Head of Corporate Development and Investor Relations and Pavit Singh Katoch as General Counsel to further strengthen its leadership team.
Taneja has spent a decade in the investment banking team at Goldman Sachs. He will lead corporate development efforts, including mergers and acquisitions, investor relations, and capital raising.
Pavit Singh Katoch has over 14 years of experience before various judicial fora, including cutting-edge matters concerning intermediary liability, privacy & data protection, cybersecurity and intellectual property. During his last stint as a Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., he specialised in litigation strategy and routinely represented social media companies such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram before the Supreme Court of India and various High Courts.
