Gulshan Grover Teaches Sisters The Art Of BoAt-iful Blackmail This Rakhi

boAt is adding a playful twist to tradition with the 'Blackmail Brother Academy' (BBA) campaign this Raksha Bandhan, featuring iconic villain Kabira, played by Bollywood actor Gulshan Grover from the film Hera Pheri.

The campaign captures the universal feeling sisters have every Raksha Bandhan - the hope of getting the perfect gift from their brothers. Yet, they often end up with cliche presents like chocolates or a shagun ka lifafa. This year, boAt and the Grover set to change the game with a fun and engaging Blackmailing Course designed just for sisters.

In a dark and intense tone that echoes his villainous roles, Kabira delivers a masterclass in persuasive blackmail. The piece-to-camera tutorial guides sisters on how to use their secrets to ensure better gifts from their brothers. Enhanced with dramatic overlays and visuals, the film concludes with a call to action, urging sisters to demand boAt products as their Rakhi gifts this year.

Elevating personalisation, boAt introduces AI-powered technology through its microsite BH.AI, creating playful blackmail messages from the Blackmailer Professor. In these videos, Kabira addresses brothers by name, warning that a secret shared by their sister will be exposed unless they purchase a boAt product for her. The fun twist allows sisters to share the videos with their brothers, making the blackmail both entertaining and impactful.

The message says, "Ye course complete karne se har devi ko prasad milega aur apka bhaiya babu se zyada aapka dhyan rakhenge." ("ये कोर्स पूरा करने से हर देवी को प्रसाद मिलेगा और आपका भैया बाबू से ज्यादा आपका ध्यान रखेंगे।")

"A playful twist on Raksha Bandhan, our Blackmail Brother Academy is all about making this festive season fun and memorable. We're thrilled to have the legendary Gulshan Grover, the OG Bad Man, lead this campaign and bring smiles to countless siblings across the country," said Aman Gupta, CMO & Co-founder of boAt.
