The founder and promoter of New Delhi Television (NDTV), Prannoy Roy and his wife Radhika Roy have resigned as the Board of RRPR Holding (RRPRH), the company has declared in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange.
The statement says, "RRPRH has approved Senthil Sinniah Chengalvarayan, Sanjay Pugalia, and Sudipta Bhattacharya as the new directors on the Board, effective immediately."
On November 28, 2022, RRPRH has announced that it had officially completed the takeover of NDTV by the Adani group by transferring shares representing 99.5 per cent of its equity capital to VCPL, a company owned by the Adani group.
With the transfer of shares, the Adani group would have ownership of a 29.18 percent stake in NDTV.
RRPRH owns a 29.18 per cent share in NDTV, which is being acquired by the Gautam Adani-owned Adani group.
