Cannes Lions Unveils 2024 See It Be It Cohort

Cannes Lions revealed the lineup for the 2024 See It Be It initiative, aimed at accelerating talent growth for women in the industry. 19 creatives from 14 different markets have been chosen to participate in this learning and development program during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, scheduled from June 17th to 21st, 2024. The selected group will engage in a four-day programme, featuring mentorship sessions, exclusive masterclasses led by industry experts and personalised backstage access and session invitations aligned with their individual career goals.

The program marks its 10th anniversary of striving for gender parity among creative directors and leaders worldwide. Since its establishment, 'See It Be It' has united more than 120 women and non-binary individuals from 33 different markets. This year's cohort will feature participants from Kazakhstan, Kenya and Thailand, marking their inaugural inclusion in the initiative.

Chosen from the previous year's cohort, Daniela Varela, Creative Director at TBWA\Chiat\Day will serve as this year's Alumni Tutor. Varela will assist the 2024 participants in enhancing their Festival experience and collaborate closely with program Ambassador Madonna Badger to extend the influence of See It Be It on the industry long after the Festival week.

On her appointment, Varela said: “Joining the journey of this year’s cohort is an incredible joy and a huge responsibility. They represent the programme’s 10-year legacy: a global collective of talent, inspiration and leadership that fosters and enables the change we still need to nurture in our industry. I can’t wait to see what these new 19 stellar minds will unleash.”
