According to a media report, Lele will begin his tenure as vice president of Castrol India and South Asia on October 1, 2024, before transitioning to the role of managing director

Kedar Lele, who served as executive director and head of sales and customer development for Unilever in South Asia, is set to join Castrol India as managing director, starting November 1, 2024.

According to a media report, Lele will begin his tenure as vice president of Castrol India and South Asia on October 1, 2024, before transitioning to the role of managing director.

Lele began his career in advertising as an account supervisor at Mudra Communications and later worked with Monster.com and Kimberly Clark Lever. He started at Unilever as a marketing manager in the ice cream division. Reflecting on his time at HUL, Lele remarked, "HUL is not a company but an institution. One that builds leaders. One that shapes character and personality, gives confidence and courage, and teaches resilience and discipline. It fills its people with a sense of responsibility towards their teams, community, and environment. It also provides all the training, support, and opportunities to help the employees achieve their own potential and become the best version of themselves. So much that one can never repay the debt of this company. Only way is to pay it forward. Everyday."

At Kimberly Clark Lever, he led the sales and marketing functions for the joint venture with Hindustan Unilever, based in Pune. In this role, he managed the brand team for infant and feminine care products, overseeing end-to-end marketing responsibilities. He also played a key role in enhancing the marketing capabilities across South and East Asia's Developing and Emerging Countries (SADEC) within the Kimberly Clark network.
