Sandeep Sangwan, the erstwhile managing director of Castrol India, has taken over as the global chief marketing officer of the automotive and industrial lubricant brand.
Global CEO Michelle JOU announced the news through a LinkedIn post welcoming new India MD Kedar Lele.
Sangwan has been the MD of Castrol India since January 2020. He joined BP in April 2012 and has held various national and international leadership roles for key markets in Europe, Asia and Africa.
He will relocate to the UK, succeeding Nicola Buck who will take over a bigger marketing role at BP, said Jou.
Sangwan has been at the helm of various business transformation, sales and marketing endeavours and specialises in building brands, driving growth and leading high-performance teams.
He has worked with Gillette and P&G for over 20 years in India, the Middle East, China and Europe, where he held several leadership roles in sales, marketing and P&L delivery. He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow and Regional Engineering College (NIT), Kurukshetra.
Lele took over from Sangwan recently as the company's new India MD after a long stint with HUL.
