Rajneesh Chopra joins Amway as its India chief
Amway has appointed Rajneesh Chopra as its new India chief. Chopra, who was previously the chief commercial officer at Immunotec, succeeds Anshu Budhraja, who resigned from his position at Amway a few months back.
After working as an assistant manager of sales and marketing at Revlon, Chopra started his career at Amway as a business development manager. Subsequently, he advanced to become the vice president of sales.
For Amway North America (the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean Islands), Chopra oversaw the P&L and built a very profitable company that grew to be worth over $1 billion. Additionally, he helped the beauty and wellness consumer category's market share rise.
Chopra also helped Amway North America transform into one of the fastest-growing markets across all markets of Amway. This included channelling all sales-led functions, strategy development, and managing a vast network of 350,000 distributors.
During his stint at Revlon, Chopra launched Revlon in India, launched fragrances in the country and managed the sales team and channel distributors to enhance business funnels.
In November 2023, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) alleged that Amway generated proceeds of crime that were worth more than Rs 4,000 crore. And, a substantial part of it was siphoned (draw off or transfer) off to overseas banks.
