Finding the nexus between product and customer has always fascinated me. It's a field that demands a deep understanding of human motivations while embracing constant change and adaptation.
What has been the turning point of your life in the marketing industry?
The defining moment that shaped my trajectory in the marketing industry occurred upon joining Ferrero. At Ferrero, the consumer stands as the focal point, and we hold ourselves accountable to the pledge that the consumer is our ultimate guide. Every small message from Ferrero be it claims, sustainability, or quality, is certified by deep research before it goes out in the market. This marked a turning point where I realised that connecting on a deeper and emotional level can create a lasting impact.
Sustainability is the buzzword in marketing. What is your take on brands for green messaging as well as attempting greenwashing to stay competent in the market?
Sustainability has become a cornerstone of modern marketing, reflecting evolving consumer values. Genuine commitment to sustainability is vital, as green messaging alone is insufficient. Brands that authentically integrate sustainable practices into their operations and communicate transparently about their journey will establish lasting credibility. Greenwashing, on the other hand, erodes trust and risks alienating environmentally conscious consumers.

He transformed a small village brand into a global multinational powerhouse, and his approach to marketing during that era remains a beacon of wisdom.
