McDonald's, Theobroma Under FDA Scanner

Their Noida outlets were raided over quality concerns

According to an industry report, the Uttar Pradesh State Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has acted proactively by gathering samples from restaurants including McDonald's and Theobroma from their Noida stores. The District Magistrate (DM) issued orders for this action to ensure the quality of food and drink served at these stores throughout the state.

According to the report, this action was taken in response to a complaint submitted via the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) link site about potential adulteration or contamination.

The department led the raids, focusing on well-known restaurants in Noida, with Assistant Commissioner Archana Dheeran and Chief Food Safety Officer Akshay Goyal serving as their leaders.

Food Safety Officers Ram Naresh, Mukesh Kumar, Vijay Bahadur Patel, and others made up the raiding squad.

The findings of the tests performed on the gathered samples are currently being awaited by the FDA in the UP state. Whether or not the involved outlets face additional consequences will depend on the results of these tests.
