HUL May Sell Pureit Water Purifier Biz: Report

A recent industry report states that Hindustan Unilever (HUL) may be considering to sell its Pureit water purification division.

The brand has been discussing the idea of a sale with potential buyers. But as of yet, no official decision has been taken, the report mentions.

HUL has been informally talking with bulge bracket private equity funds and other potential purchasers. These talks have been centred around valuations.

In 2004, HUL entered the water purification industry, challenging well-established competitors Eureka Forbes and Kent.
