Diageo's Shweta Jain Steps Down

Shweta Jain, chief business development officer, luxury, reserve and craft business for India and South Asia at Diageo has decided to step down from her position. 

Jain joined Diageo in 2018 as the vice president and was promoted to her current position in September 2021. 

She penned her exit note on LinkedIn stating, “Marked my last days at Diageo this week and spent them well with people who fuel it all. You have all left me with huge gratitude for your partnership in every dimension possible. DIAGEO India gave a broad canvas and I had the privilege of setting an audacious vision of shaping the culture of socialisation while breaking new grounds of growth by premiumisation.”

Sharing her thoughts on the next phase in her career, Jain said, “What is next? A new chapter you say… I say it’s time for a new book. Very excited for the leap on the horizon... but for now, it's all about a wee savour the pause.”

She currently serves as a member of the Nao Spirits & Beverages board.

Jain is an expert in marketing and brand strategy development, portfolio premiumisation, cross-cultural team management and new product development across consumer product genres.

Previously, she has held key leadership roles at William Grant & Sons, ShopClues, Pernod Ricard India, Ogilvy, McCann Worldgroup and Gillette India.
